  • Microcontroller board based onAtmel SAM3X8E ARM Cortex-M3 32-bitprocessor

  • With 54 digital input/output pins, 12 analog inputs, 2 DAC pins: it’s the perfect board for powerful larger-scale projects Arduino
  • 3.3V operation – with IOREF pin that allows compatible expansion boards to fit, regardless of its voltage (3.3 or 5V)
  • Soldered sockets

Features

This is the first Arduino board based on a 32-bit ARM core microcontroller. It has 54 digital input/output pins (12 of which can be used as PWM outputs), 12 analog inputs, 4 UART (hardware serial ports), 84 MHz clock, USB OTG compatible connection, 2 DACs (digital to analog) , 2 TWI, power socket, SPI header, JTAG header, reset button and delete button.

Important: Unlike most cards Arduino, the Arduino Due card operates at 3.3 V. The maximum voltage that the I/O pins can tolerate is 3.3V. Applying voltages higher than 3.3 V to any I/O pin could damage the board. The board contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a micro-USB cable or power it with an AC-DC adapter or battery to get started. The Due is compatible with all Arduino shields that operate at 3.3 V and are compatible with the Arduino 1.0 pinout.

The Due follows the 1.0 pinout:

TWI: SDA and SCL pins close to the AREF pin.

IOREF: allows an attached shield with the appropriate configuration to adapt to the voltage supplied by the board. This allows the compatibility of the shield with a 3.3 V card such as Due and AVR cards which operate at 5 V.

One pin not connected, reserved for future use.
