SRAM capacity has been increased from 2 kB (UNO REV 3) to 32 kB, and flash memory from 32 kB to 256 kB to support more complex projects. Most existing libraries and examples work without a hitch, ensuring excellent software compatibility. The board is equipped with a USB-C port and the maximum supply voltage has been increased to 24V, with improved thermal design. The UNO R4 Minima features a CAN bus and an SPI port, enabling users to reduce wiring and perform parallel tasks by connecting multiple shields.
In terms of pinout, the voltage and form factor of the UNO R4 remain unchanged from the UNO R3, ensuring maximum hardware and electrical compatibility with existing shields and projects. On the software side, considerable effort has gone into ensuring backward compatibility with the most popular Arduino libraries, enabling users to build on existing code examples and tutorials.
