This system is a compilation of three prior Nintendo games, Super Mario Bros. , Super Mario Bros. : The Lost Levels (known as Super Mario Bros. 2 in Japan), and Ball. The system was released to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Super Mario series, as well as the 40th anniversary of the Game & Watch line of systems.
